A BIOS upgrade (0501) is available for the EEE PC 900. The official description is "Updated panel PWM frequency": this is probably referring to a fix to the "screen whine" problem.

- It is not possible to manually configure the CPU clock (630MHz and 900MHz) the lower frequency is automatically set to 630MHz in battery mode.
- Increase in the display brightness
- Fix the screen whine problem
